Glen Road Addition

Our clients wanted to renovate their rear addition, which was awkward, outdated, and not conducive to their lifestyle. The primary focus of the interior would be the kitchen – the exterior would focus on a new raised deck.  The challenge was bringing the existing addition up to modern standards and creating a stronger connection to both the living room and backyard.

The design concept was made with eco-consciousness in mind to align with our clients goals. We used natural materials both in and outside, and improved the building performance with upgraded insulation and windows.  Inside, the new kitchen has earthy tones, traditional charm and modern amenities. The new rear deck is large enough to host family and friends, and a pergola provides shading on the south-facing porch.

Terracotta tiles, traditional wood trim, and green tones bring the outdoors in, creating an earthy feel while remaining robust enough to withstand an active lifestyle.
